It's almost Christmas!

Only 2 more days until Christmas!!  All the presents are bought and wrapped except for the big things that we still have to assemble!  We are thinking about turning our loft into a little playroom (since the toys are taking over our house!!)  so we had a to do a little re-arranging to make room for a kitchen and some of the bigger toys.  I am so excited to see how Alexis reacts when she wakes up Christmas morning and sees a big kitchen next to the tree!

Since Albert won't let me hire a cleaning lady.....

I enlisted in some help :)

I gave Alexis my old cell phone since she always wants to play with mine.  On this particular day she was talking to her cousin Cole a lot on her phone.

teaching her brother how it works!

This is where I found her hiding from me at Ikea!
She loves this store- so big to run around and lots of little rooms to hide in!

It's getting harder to find things that Alexis will eat.  She still has her same favorites like broccoli, corn, rice and apples but I've been trying to get her to try new things... and actually eat them!  She has recently become a fan of bacon!

and she's always loved edamame!

Her hair is getting long and she's finally letting me play with it and put clips and ponytails in it.

Andrew is 4 months old and so fun to play with!  He is really interacting  a lot now.  He grabs his toys and is always smiling and laughing.  We ran out of his size 3 diapers so we used Alexis's size 4 for a day and they fit great so I just bought more size 4 and that's what they both wear!

Yes- I'm barking like a dog :)
The things you do for your kids....

4 month check-up

Andrew's not quite 4 months yet but he went for his 4 month check-up with his doctor today.  I really like his doctor and I wanted to schedule the appointment with her so that's why he went a little early... only 6 days though.  Even though he hadn't gotten his usual morning nap in and it was time to eat, he was so happy and smiley.... until he got his shots but that only lasted about 30 seconds and he was fine.  He checked out great and we got the go-ahead to start solids.  I have a feeling he's going to be a great eater ;~)

Weight: 16 lbs, 10 oz
Length: 26 1/4 in

He's in the 90th percentile for both!!  The doctor re-measured his length.  She looked at us and said, "Mom and Dad don't look like very tall people so I'm going to double check this."  But it was the same.

He's starting to get little rolls!!

Andrew was playing on his new activity mat and Alexis came over, laid down next to him and held his hand.

***I'm not sure why but when people leave comments they aren't showing up.  I have my settings to allow comments but for some reason, it's not working.  Just wanted you to know if you have left any that I'm not deleting them.  I love getting them so I hope it starts working again!!

Girls Day Out

Alexis and I had a girls day today... well more like a girls morning.  I woke her up at 8:45 this morning and got her ready in about 5 minutes before we had to run out the door to make it to gymnastics on time.  I got up with Andrew at 7 and he was just falling back asleep around 8:30.  It's pretty much like clock work.  He falls asleep 1 1/2 hours after he wakes up every morning.  Luckily I got him to sleep so I didn't have to wake Albert up before we left.  Here's Alexis chomping on an apple on our drive to gymnastics.  Good thing it's just down the street!

After her last gymnastics class, we were both hungry so we went to Chick-fil-A for breakfast!  After her hash browns and chocolate milk, she played in the play area for awhile.  She quickly became friends with the 2 other kids playing in there too.  When we left she gave the little girl high fives, hugs and kisses!!

Then we went to Toys R Us to look for Christmas presents.  She must have thought we were looking for her because she found lots of things!!  This was her favorite-- I had a hard time getting her out!  Maybe someday Alexis!

After we got home she wanted to ride her bike outside so we rode up and down the sidewalk until Albert and Andrew came home with some lunch.  One of her gloves was missing so I had to improvise :)  Can you tell what it is?

I let her play in the bathtub for awhile tonight.  Since I ruptured my eardrum with the neti pot and will never use it again, it is now her favorite bath toy!!  :~)

Andrew....... we didn't forget about you!!

Santa came early this year....

and Alexis couldn't be happier!!!

It's her very first bike and she loves it!  We bought it as a Christmas gift but when I came home from work yesterday it was already out of the box, put together and she was riding it!  I think Daddy was a little excited too :)

This was Alexis's idea!

Andrew's saying "Get me out of here!"

Alexis has been sleeping in later than normal the past couple of weeks.  She used to wake up around 7:30 but now she's been sleeping until between 8:30 and 9am.  She still takes her afternoon nap which is usually 3 hours long and goes to bed between 8:30 and 9 at night.  I'm definitely not complaining!!  I wish Andrew would sleep in later so I could too!  This morning we had to wake her up at 8:30 so she could be at gymnastics at 9.

Drew is 3 1/2 months old and cuter than ever!  He still smiles and laughs all day long.  He's sleeping great too!  He usually sleeps between 8 and 10 hours at night and takes 2 naps during the day.  He's been sleeping in his crib (in our room) for 2 weeks now.  He has stopped making all the crazy grunting noises in his sleep so now I can actually get good sleep too.

She loves her babies!  She watches me very closely how I do things with Andrew and she does the same thing with her babies.  She's also a great little helper!  If Andrew's crying she will run to find his pacifier or bottle or just hold his hand and say "Drew Drew."  She does this all on her own too!  She's a very sweet and caring little girl!

Look at these two!  She's on the iPhone and he's on the tablet!

Now she's on the tablet...

and teaching her brother how it works.  It won't be long and he will be playing with them too I'm sure!

Good night little monkey!

Fun day with Grandma & Grandpa

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit today!  Andrew went right to Grandpa and was so happy to see Grandma.  He started smiling so big and when Grandma started talking to him he started laughing.  It was so funny!

Grandpa got Alexis a hopscotch rug and she had a blast playing with it!

Andrew is 3 months old already!!

This handsome little guy turned 3 months old yesterday!  He is starting to interact more now and is always smiling.  Even though he's been sick with a cold for the last week, he is still very happy and even laughed for the first time last week.  He is down to 2 naps during the day and sleeps about 8 hours straight at night, sometimes even longer.  He can fit into size 3-6 and 6 month shirts and 6 month pants. For onsies and sleepers he needs 9 months for the length.  We still put him in size 6 month sleepers sometimes but his little toes are curled up!

Whenever I lay Andrew down on the floor, big sister has to lay down right next to him :)
She loves to hold his hand and give him kisses.... lots of them!

modeling our new Keurig

she moved the box by herself so she could stand on it and turn the lights on and off

wearing my slippers

i'm hungry mom!

I think he looks like me when I was a baby in this picture

She loves her little brother!

I came home tonight from a meeting at work and Alexis was wearing Andrew's pants!  Albert said she put them on by herself.
