It's almost Christmas!

Only 2 more days until Christmas!!  All the presents are bought and wrapped except for the big things that we still have to assemble!  We are thinking about turning our loft into a little playroom (since the toys are taking over our house!!)  so we had a to do a little re-arranging to make room for a kitchen and some of the bigger toys.  I am so excited to see how Alexis reacts when she wakes up Christmas morning and sees a big kitchen next to the tree!

Since Albert won't let me hire a cleaning lady.....

I enlisted in some help :)

I gave Alexis my old cell phone since she always wants to play with mine.  On this particular day she was talking to her cousin Cole a lot on her phone.

teaching her brother how it works!

This is where I found her hiding from me at Ikea!
She loves this store- so big to run around and lots of little rooms to hide in!

It's getting harder to find things that Alexis will eat.  She still has her same favorites like broccoli, corn, rice and apples but I've been trying to get her to try new things... and actually eat them!  She has recently become a fan of bacon!

and she's always loved edamame!

Her hair is getting long and she's finally letting me play with it and put clips and ponytails in it.

Andrew is 4 months old and so fun to play with!  He is really interacting  a lot now.  He grabs his toys and is always smiling and laughing.  We ran out of his size 3 diapers so we used Alexis's size 4 for a day and they fit great so I just bought more size 4 and that's what they both wear!

Yes- I'm barking like a dog :)

4 month check-up

Andrew's not quite 4 months yet but he went for his 4 month check-up with his doctor today.  I really like his doctor and I wanted to schedule the appointment with her so that's why he went a little early... only 6 days though.  Even though he hadn't gotten his usual morning nap in and it was time to eat, he was so happy and smiley.... until he got his shots but that only lasted about 30 seconds and he was fine.  He checked out great and we got the go-ahead to start solids.  I have a feeling he's going to be a great eater ;~)

Weight: 16 lbs, 10 oz
Length: 26 1/4 in

He's in the 90th percentile for both!!  The doctor re-measured his length.  She looked at us and said, "Mom and Dad don't look like very tall people so I'm going to double check this."  But it was the same.

He's starting to get little rolls!!

Andrew was playing on his new activity mat and Alexis came over, laid down next to him and held his hand.

***I'm not sure why but when people leave comments they aren't showing up.  I have my settings to allow comments but for some reason, it's not working.  Just wanted you to know if you have left any that I'm not deleting them.  I love getting them so I hope it starts working again!!

Girls Day Out

Alexis and I had a girls day today... well more like a girls morning.  I woke her up at 8:45 this morning and got her ready in about 5 minutes before we had to run out the door to make it to gymnastics on time.  I got up with Andrew at 7 and he was just falling back asleep around 8:30.  It's pretty much like clock work.  He falls asleep 1 1/2 hours after he wakes up every morning.  Luckily I got him to sleep so I didn't have to wake Albert up before we left.  Here's Alexis chomping on an apple on our drive to gymnastics.  Good thing it's just down the street!

After her last gymnastics class, we were both hungry so we went to Chick-fil-A for breakfast!  After her hash browns and chocolate milk, she played in the play area for awhile.  She quickly became friends with the 2 other kids playing in there too.  When we left she gave the little girl high fives, hugs and kisses!!

Then we went to Toys R Us to look for Christmas presents.  She must have thought we were looking for her because she found lots of things!!  This was her favorite-- I had a hard time getting her out!  Maybe someday Alexis!

After we got home she wanted to ride her bike outside so we rode up and down the sidewalk until Albert and Andrew came home with some lunch.  One of her gloves was missing so I had to improvise :)  Can you tell what it is?

I let her play in the bathtub for awhile tonight.  Since I ruptured my eardrum with the neti pot and will never use it again, it is now her favorite bath toy!!  :~)

Andrew....... we didn't forget about you!!
