our CRAZY life :)

The past 2 weeks have been a bit crazy at our house.  I guess I should get used to this crazy life because it is most likely the norm from now on.  I don't think it will slow down until both kids are moved out and away at college!  Andrew is now crawling and pulling himself up onto furniture or whatever else he can find.  He wakes up in the night sitting up and apparently forgets it's time to sleep until I have to lay him back down.  This week Alexis started to ask, "Why?" and "Why Mommy?"  Andrew has started to eat crackers and puffs and loves them.  I can see his 3rd bottom tooth starting to pop through.  Alexis played with Play-doh for the first time... and that won't be happening again anytime soon :)  Andrew had a high fever for 4 days and took an unexpected trip to the doctor when he started having these weird rashes/hives appear randomly all over his body on and off.  According to the doctor, he was having an allergic reaction to a virus.  He is fever-free and back to his happy self again! Lola and Lolo came to visit on St. Patrick's Day as well as Alexis's friend Connor.  We enjoyed some delicious sinigang, chicken adobo and shrimp that Lola made, played outside in the beautiful weather and then took a trip to the zoo! Auntie Kristine brought her boyfriend over to meet the family-- unfortunately I had to work :(

So here's what we've been up to the last 2 weeks........

Trip to California to meet Dylan

I'm finally getting around to posting some pictures from our trip to California earlier this month.  We went to see Alex and Priscilla and meet baby Dylan!!  I was quite anxious about how the 4+ hour plane ride would go but it went much smoother than I expected! Lolo came with us and he was a huge help the entire trip keeping up with Alexis.  Here are a couple of pictures from my phone:

When we left home, the temperature was in the 30's so when we got to California and felt the 70 and 80 degree weather, it was wonderful!  Alexis loved it!!

Hi Drew Drew

Priscilla's friend Patty was very generous and let us stay at her house in Palm Springs.  It took her a little while but Alexis warmed up to her dog Freddie and soon they were friends and were playing together.  She learned how to throw a frisbee for the 1st time!

We also went to a tennis tournament in Palm Springs.  Lolo got Alexis this huge tennis ball but unfortunately we didn't get to see any of the top players to get their autographs :(  But the kids love the ball and it will be fun to play with this summer.

The cousins meet!!  Little Dylan was sooo cute!  He is so easy going and never makes a peep... unless he's hungry :)

Alexis loved playing with him!

Andrew- 6.5 months, Dylan- 4 months, Alexis- 2 years

Whoa Andrew!  He looks so big next to Dylan!

Alexis insisted on taking her clothes off too and wanted her picture taken with the babies!

I just realized I only have pictures of the kids.  Maybe if I get some more time, I will put some more pictures of our trip!

Andrew is 7 months old!!!

Today Andrew turned 7 months old!

As you can see, he is still as happy as ever!  He finally started to roll over-- the 1st time was in California when we went to visit Albert's family and meet little Dylan last week.  Now he is rolling all over but only from his back to belly.  He's trying so hard to crawl and I don't think it will be long before he is!  He loves to jump up and and down when he is held.  The only time he is still is when he is sleeping... which, by the way,  is getting longer and longer at night.  He slept in until 7am this morning which is a record for him.  He's still in size 4 diapers and wearing size 12 months in clothes.  He's eating solids 3 times a day, which he loves!  Also, last week I noticed his 2 bottom teeth were coming in and today they popped through the gums!!  I was surprised because Alexis didn't get any teeth until she was 10 months old.  I know it's a little early, but I was eating a cracker and Andrew wanted it so bad so I let him take a couple of small bites and he did great and wanted more.  I think he would eat all day if I let him :)

He loves his new bath tub!

like father, like son

We have been taking advantage of the beautiful 70 degree weather.  Here's Andrew riding a bike for the 1st time outside. He loved being pushed around.

Today the kids and I took a stroll around the neighborhood and ended up going to 7-Eleven for some snacks.  Unless Albert has taken them while I've been at work, I think this is the first time they have both ridden in the jogging stroller.

On the way there-- Alexis was mad because Andrew was trying to take her sippy cup

On the way home-- Alexis let Andrew have her cup since she talked mommy into getting her an ICEE-- her favorite!!

Earlier this week, Alexis took her Jeep for a spin in the driveway!

She loves playing outside!

Baby Avery and Alexis having fun!
