Even though she has a trillion toys, sometimes Alexis would rather play with random things she finds in the house more.  Here she is, again, playing with the canisters from the kitchen.  She loves to take everything out of them and put only matching ones back in together.  She's quite the little organizer!

Andrew joined in for some fun too.
He loved watching Alexis play!

Where's Alexis??

There she is!!!!!!!!!
(she could have played this game for hours!)

**do you see her cute rain boots?  when grandma & grandpa gave them to her
about 6 months ago she wouldn't put them on for anything!  now she won't take them off!**

And here's my BIG boy!  Sometimes it feels like I have a 3 month old rather than a 5 week old!!!

Big news!!

There were hoots, hollars and lots of cheering tonight at the Mogul house!  Alexis went poop on the potty for the first time!  It's sad that this excites me so much but that's what happen when you're a mom I guess.  I have been having her sit on her potty chair when I see her starting to go but she usually just plays.  This is only about the 5th time doing it and I never thought she would actually go so I was surprised.  I can't wait for the day when she tells me that she has to go or just goes on her own!

1 month stats

Look at this little chunker!!  He weighed 11 pounds even at the doctor today!!!!!  I was shocked!  He for sure never misses a meal!  He is in the 80th percentile for weight and 67th for length measuring 22 in long.  I found out tonight he sleeps wonderfully on his stomach.  It's the first time I put him on his stomach (except for tummy time) to sleep.  It's been 3 hours and he's still sleeping as I type this.  I guess I can't go to sleep until he wakes up!!  I'm scared I'll wake him up if I take him upstairs to bed.

Here are some of big sister playing with my phone taking pictures of herself.  She can navigate through my phone better than I can.  She can unlock it, scroll through pictures and loves to watch videos of babies on youtube!

Some of her favorite things to do lately are:
**spin around until she is so dizzy she falls down, usually crashing into furniture.  But, she just scrunches up her nose, says "ouch!" and does it over and over again.
**somersaults all over the living room floor
**skip around the house
**play in Andrew's carseat, rocker, pack 'n play and crib.... I couldn't get her near the crib just a few months ago and now she loves it....
**M&M's

I put her in these pj's tonight because she won't keep a blanket on and even though our heat is on it's still a little chilly.  She hasn't worn this 1 piece zip up kind in so long, she wasn't quite sure about it when I put them on tonight.  I thought she was going to throw a fit and take them off but she just looked at them funny and kept skipping around the house.

1 Month

Andrew is 1 month old!!  He has gotten soooo big over the past week it seems like.  He no longer fits in newborn clothes or diapers.  I'm not sure if it's accurate or not but we tried weighing him and he was 11 lbs!  He is going to be catching up to Alexis in no time!!  He sees the pediatrician tomorrow so we'll see how big he really has gotten.  Here are some pictures from today...

His little legs are filling out and check out his "shoes" that Grandpa got him!

When Lolo brought over this 3 month outfit for him not too long ago, I didn't think he would fit into it this soon!

4 weeks old and loving life

Andrew turned 4 weeks old yesterday!

What is there not to be happy about?  He eats and sleeps whenever he want and gets at least 50 kisses a day from Alexis!  He's living the life! What a lucky guy!

fun day with friends

Alexis had a surprise when she came home from school this morning!  Her friend Brayden was here to play! Although she was acting shy, I can tell she loved having a playmate.  She kept trying to hug and kiss him!  When he left it was nap time and I was nervous because Andrew was waking up and would want to eat.  I tried something new again-- I didn't lay down with her this time.  She laid down and I told her it was time for her nap and gave her a kiss and left.  I felt guilty but she didn't seem to mind.  She played with Dora for about 15 minutes and then fell asleep!  Nap time is so easy now!  I love it!

We made it through the day!!

So, I've been anxious for this day to come...  the 1st day with both kids by myself.  No mom or Albert to help me keep an eye on Alexis while I fed Andrew, or watch Andrew while I put Alexis down for a nap (which takes about an hour these days.)  It all worked out though and much better than I had anticipated!!  I took Andrew's monitor with me so I could peek at him while I laid with Alexis.  Only about 10 minutes into our ritual of Alexis standing up and trying to escape out of bed and me picking her up and laying her down-- over and over again, I saw that Andrew was wiggling around like crazy and wanted to eat.  I told Alexis to lay down and take a nap and I would come back.  I wasn't sure what she would do because I've never done that before but I turned on her monitor while I fed Andrew in the other room.  She looked through her books, jumped around on the bed and banged on the door a few times.  About 20 minutes later, Andrew was done and I put him down to go check on Alexis because occasionally she would go to the other side of the room and I couldn't see her on the monitor.  I opened the door to find her asleep in bed!!!  I could NOT believe it!  This whole time I had spent hours laying with her when all I had to do was leave and she would eventually (not long really) fall asleep on her own!  She must have gotten bored and decided to sleep.  No tears or anything.  How easy was that!
Andrew was sleeping too so instead of doing the million things I needed to around the house, I decided to take a nap too!  We all slept for 2 hours and 15 minutes!!

My little guy is 3 weeks old today!!

I was excited to take Alexis to the Labor Day parade today in Naperville.  She enjoyed watching the first few groups walking by and danced to the bands but preferred going up and down the side walk and playing in the grass more.  Albert put a cute little dress on her but we had to change outfits because it was only 50 degrees out!
Buuurrrr!!  I'm not ready for cold weather!

Labor Day weekend fun

I finally have some time to put up some pictures... both kids are in bed!  Andrew is growing so fast- he will already be 3 weeks old tomorrow!  And Alexis is acting older every day.  She is a wonderful big sister and loves to help with Andrew.  The first thing she says when she wakes up in the morning is "Baby! Baby!"

Here are a couple of pictures from Lolo's camera that were taken when Andrew was less than a week old.

Albert took Andrew downstairs last night and got up with him during the night so I could get a full night's sleep (it was wonderful!!) He woke up at 3am and didn't want to go back to sleep!

He's getting to be such a big boy!

A friend of mine came over with her 5 month old so we got the exersaucer out from storage and guess who wanted to play in it?!

Today we went downtown Naperville to the Last Fling and enjoyed the beautiful weather.  It was the first time Alexis has been to a carnival.  The rides were all too big for her to ride but she still had fun.  Lola, Lolo and Auntie Kristine met us there and Alexis had a lot of fun!

We're going back tomorrow morning for a parade!
