9 Months!!

Alexis turned 9 months old on Thursday!
I am anxious for her check-up at the doctor's this coming Tuesday to see how much she weighs and how tall she is. I'm pretty sure she's passed 20 pounds!! She's always smiling, laughing and making funny faces. Just in the last week, she has started standing on her own! She usually lasts around 10 seconds, has a look on her face like "what do I do now?" and lowers herself to the ground. I tried to capture it today with the camera, but no luck. She's is constantly climbing furniture and anything she pull herself up on, including walls. She can walk from one piece of furniture to the other holding on. She's "talking" so much and says da da da da da da all the time. As soon as she hears "If you're happy and you know it....," she starts clapping. Everyday she does something new!!

Ladybug and the Pumpkin Patch

Since we both had the weekend off (only the 2nd time in the past 6 months) we decided to spend some time together as a family :) and go to a pumpkin farm!! We put Alexis in her Halloween costume in hopes to get some cute pictures with some pumpkins. She wasn't so sure about it at first but loved all the sights and sounds when we got there. I was excited for some apple cider but they were out of it when we go there :( but I did get some roasted corn, an apple cider donut and a taffy apple instead and they were delish!

is this the one?

not too sure about the corn :)

I love finding pictures on the camera! Another glimpse of what
Albert and Alexis do while I'm at work!

Here's Alexis modeling our new ottoman. We had to replace our coffee table since she was always getting hurt playing around it.

We have been loving this beautiful weather!! It's almost mid-October and it's been in the 80's?! I absolutely love it! I am already dreading this winter-- freezing and being stuck in the house for a couple of months :( Here are some pictures from this past weekend I found on the camera. I was working but it looks like Albert and Alexis had some fun downtown Naperville with some friends.

Here are some pictures from today. Alexis is climbing everything she finds... and she's getting really good at it! She loves hanging out in the kitchen now playing in the cabinets and pulling the pots out. She no longer cries when I leave the room... she will just crawl as fast as she can to find me! It's so cute!! She loves to bounce or "dance" to music, clap and wave!

Poor little girl was so itchy before bed tonight. Her eczema has been pretty bad lately but she has been such a little trooper. We took her to the doctor last week (we've seen 3 different doctors in the past 2 months) and he said there is really nothing we can do except keep her skin moisturized and that she will have good and bad days since there is no cure. We have used hydrocortisone, aquafor, cetaphil, california baby and most recently curel itch defense. Unfortunately, none of them seem to really make a big difference. I think the next step is to take her to either a dermatologist or allergist. I just want to figure out what we can do to give her a little relief. Sleep has been a battle lately... going to sleep and staying asleep.

Look at this cute little monkey :)
(she weighed 19 pounds, 7 ounces at the doctor's last week!)
