Design on a Dime

Hi everyone this is Albert... I finally finished our kitchen makeover. I hope you all like it.

The last piece of the puzzle was the microwave... big thanks to Ryan for helping me install it!

More backsplash with the granite countertop

Finally a fridge with filtered water and an ice maker just in time for summer.

I don't think any dishes are going in here for awhile.

I added part of the backsplash under the breakfast bar to tie in the kitchen to the dining area.

Small, simple and sweet.... now it's time to cook!

sneak peek

We finally have all of the tile on the walls!! Here's a few pics of Albert putting it up...

Now it's all up on the wall and a coat of sealer is on. We still have to put the grout on and then seal it again.

We also started priming the walls today so we can get it painted. Our appliances should be delivered this week!! Woo hoo!

New granite countertops!!

Last Friday we had our granite countertops installed. They look amazing!! Here's a few pics along the way-- (I would have posted this earlier but my spacebar hasn't been working the past few days)

Demolition time!! I think this was Albert's favorite part 'cause he was able to use power tools :) He even bought a dremel!

Goodbye old laminate countertops!

We even had granite put on the divider between the kitchen and dining area

We are so happy with the results!

New faucet I found on Ebay

Can't wait to get new appliances to match the beautiful countertops!

Free sink that came with the countertops.... out of a page of options, the is the one we picked

Now for the backsplash! After days and days and hours and hours spent at Lowe's, Home Depot and The Tile Shop, we finally decided on this backsplash. It's so hard to pick one and imagine how it's going to look with everything else. Albert is going to attempt to put this up himself... wish us luck!
