dentist, diamonds, cuddles & downtown

The kids did great at their first trip to the dentist!

They were so excited when they got the fluoride treatment and had "diamonds" put on their teeth.  Alexis seriously thought she had real diamonds on her teeth to make them shine!

We took an overnight trip to Metamora last weekend.  They loved their cuddle time with Grandpa!

We took our (probably but hopefully not) last trip to downtown Naperville this week!  Well, at least without a jacket.  The weather was beautiful!

I ended up getting some really good pictures of the kids!

I LOVE this one!
Just in case the school pictures don't turn out, at least I will have a few to print out.

And then the kids took turns taking pictures.

Except for chopping our heads off and putting their fingers in front of the camera, I'd say they did a pretty good job :)

photo bombed by Andrew!

BACK TO SCHOOL!

The kids are officially back to school!!  Woohoo!!  I am loving it, but more importantly-- they love it!  It is Alexis's second year of preschool.  Pre-K, 4 year old preschool, whatever you want to call it.  I'm already thinking about Kindergarten and what that's going to be like.  It's Andrew's first year of preschool.  He just made the cutoff.  By 16 days to be exact.  I'm a little nervous that he's the youngest in his class but I guess we'll see how he does.  So far his favorite thing about school (tomorrow will be the 3rd day) is playing with dinosaurs!  It's so nice that they are in classrooms right next to each other so it's very convenient to just drop them off in the mornings, have 2.5 hours to do whatever I want and then come back.  Those couple of hours seem to fly by but I'll take it :)

Cousins from California!

Dylan and Peyton came to visit this past week!  The kids had so much fun!

They both adored Peyton.... what a cute little guy.

Alexis loves Auntie Priscilla.  She taught Alexis how to braid so she's been braiding her doll's hair.  She keeps asking me to straighten my hair so she can braid it because it's too hard when it's curly.

sneaking a little treat!

We had to put them in a cage ;)

They played outside a lot riding bikes up and down the sidewalk, blowing bubbles and drawing with chalk.  Alexis loved pushing Peyton around in the stroller.  She was so proud when he fell asleep in the stroller when she pushed him.

Dylan- 2 (almost 3), Peyton- just turned 1, Alexis- 4 1/2, Andrew- just turned 3

having fun at Oakbrook mall

almost made me want to have another....... almost..... just for a second!

I realized that 2 is definitely all I can handle!

Cousin love!

They took a train ride to Chicago one day while I was at work.

Looks like they had fun!

We can't wait to visit them next in California!!
