Alexis is 4 weeks old!! It seems like we came home from the hospital just yesterday! The past month is definitely a little blurry and the days run together in my head. It seems like the same thing over and over again everyday. As I try to teach her day and night and sleeping patterns, I struggle myself knowing what time it is, let alone the date or day of the week! We spend the majority of the day in our bedroom upstairs where it's warm.... going downstairs only to get something to eat or drink. I'm really missing my mom here helping out-- she was wonderful! It is so hard finding time to make myself something to eat or even remember to go to the bathroom. We have good and bad days... and today is a good one! :) She slept 4 hours straight last night... woohoo!! That is the longest stretch of sleep I have gotten in a month and it feels great! She probably slept so long after the crazy evening we had- I even resorted to giving her a pacifier for the first time when she insisted on eating every 1/2 an hour to hour but I just couldn't take it! Nothing would calm her down except to eat. I felt so bad as she sucked on it like crazy for 1/2 an hour not knowing if she really was hungry and I was starving her or if she just needed to suck.
I can't see how she can be starving as she is getting so big! I see it mostly in her face but she is also getting longer. I am curious to see how much she weighs- she is definitely getting heavier to hold! Her looks are changing so much and getting cuter all the time! Here are some of the most recent pictures:

(she's only sleeping on her stomach for picture taking purposes and while being supervised)
loves sleeping with her hands up by her face
