catching up

Here are some pictures from the past couple of weeks. Sorry I've been slacking! I'm going to try to post more regularly!

Alexis after her 2nd haircut... it didn't go well like the first one. This time she wouldn't sit in the little car. She sat in my lap instead and kicked and screamed while I tried holding her so she wouldn't get cut with the scissors! Not a fun trip but it had to be done-- her hair was getting so long in front and she won't leave a clip in it anymore. It may not be even but at least it's out of her eyes!

Eating outside for lunch downtown Naperville

I managed to snap a quick picture for the 1/2 second she kept her hat that Grandma & Grandpa got her for Easter. I didn't get a picture but she also got a coloring books, crayons and super cute rain boots! She missed out on an Easter egg hunt last weekend because she wasn't feeling well and fought a fever for a couple of days :(

Loves playing in the plant stand!

Relaxing before bed with her baby

Squeaky clean and all smiles after her bath tonight

Things are getting interesting......

I can't keep my eyes off of her... not even for a second! She is into everything and climbing up anything she can find! She has no fear and even after falling or hurting herself, she will go right back to doing what she did to get hurt right afterwards! Her new favorite thing is to climb up on the couch and then on the end table next to it. She has fallen multiple times but keeps on doing it. Just today she started climbing up on the ottoman we put in front of the TV stand to keep her from playing with all the buttons and getting into the cabinets. She gets up there, sits right in front of the TV and watches and touches the screen. I put her down and she crawls right back up..... over and over again!! I thought we had baby-proofed pretty well but as she gets older, she finds more things to get into. She loves to test me and has a cute little grin when she knows she's doing something she shouldn't be!

I opened the cabinet to get a brownie mix out and started making it. I turned around to see her into the Doritos!

Oh no! She's already tall enough to open the drawers!

She loved licking the brownie mix off the spatula!

Bath time!!

She loves to brush her teeth.

Ready for bed..... and still brushing!!

Just a little side note..... I had my 20 week ultrasound yesterday (although I'm 22 weeks today). The little guy.... yep, another confirmation it's a boy :) is looking great! He measured 5 days ahead and weighed 1 pound.
