18 month stats

I forgot to include Andrew's measurements in my last post from his 18 month appointment.
So, here they are:

Height  34 inches  ~  90th percentile
Weight  26 lbs, 11.5 oz  ~  60th percentile
Head  18.9 inches  ~  56th percentile

He must have had 1 foot off the scale because in the past month, every we have weighed him, he's been closer to 30 pounds.

I also jinxed myself in my last post talking about how well they were sleeping because the past 2 nights have been anything but.....  long stories but it included me being awake for 24 hours and up with Andrew for 5 hours one night, and musical beds another night!  I think it might just be a coincidence that Andrew is starting to have problems sleeping while he's sick.  I was blaming it all on being sick when I think he's starting to not want to be alone.  I was so desperate for him to sleep today that I got IN his crib with him until he fell asleep.  I'm going to cut this short so I can get some sleep while I can since I have to work tomorrow.... hoping for a quiet night!!

Here's a couple of recent pictures from my phone of my princess!

18 months, grandma's birthday & sick babies

Last week Andrew turned 18 months!  Unfortunately he wasn't feeling very well due to a bad cold.  He was eating and drink ok, still hopping around and playing but a lot more clingy (which is hard for him since he wants to be held all the time) and the sad look on his face showed me how he was really feeling.

Just look at this face... watery eyes, rosy cheeks and a runny nose :(
He is normally my easy one to get to bed.  We read a couple of books, put him in his crib, say goodnight and then don't hear a peep until after 7am the next morning.  Well, he cried and cried every night and woke up several times in the night.  It was a rough couple of nights for eveyone!

Even though he didn't fell well most of the time, he somehow managed to smile, laugh and play peek-a-boo!

Alexis was posing for a picture in a dress Grandma got her a long time ago that she has always refused to wear but decided she loved it this day.  Andrew had to jump in too!

So excited when she got a Valentine's card in the mail from Grandma and Papa!

I don't even know what to say about this one!

I found this and Alexis loved being carried around in it.  I think it will come in handy this summer on different outings we have planned!

getting to paint one afternoon when Andrew was napping!

Since Andrew wasn't feeling well, Alexis and I took a trip back to Metamora for Grandma Mona's birthday party!  It was so good to see her and the rest of the family.  Isn't she as beautiful as ever?!

anxiously waiting for CAKE and ice cream!

still waiting....

and still not looking at the camera for me!

After a fun weekend, Alexis started feeling bad too and fell asleep on the couch without me even trying.  Even after avid hand washing and avoiding drinking out of the same cups, she got it too!  Not too long after she did, I did too.  I missed a day of work this week and have spent most of my time wiping noses, cuddling on the couch with my sick babies and trying to get all of us well again.  Lucky for Albert, he always  always seems to dodge the bug!

Two days ago, we took Andrew to the doctor for his 18 month check-up and found out he has an ear infection. Looking back, I feel bad that I didn't think of this when he was having so many problems with sleeping.  Neither of them have had an ear infection before so I guess this is why I didn't think of it but now I know and hopefully can catch it sooner!  We are all on medication and are finally starting to feel better!  Everyone has slept through the night 2 nights in a row..... woohoo!!!!

birthday party pictures and 3 year stats!

We had Alexis's 3rd birthday party over the weekend.  She has been talking about this day for over 6 months!  She had so much fun playing with her cousins and seeing family that she doesn't get to very often.  We are happy to finally have a house so that everyone could come!

We went to the doctor this morning for her wellness check-up.  She asked before we went if she had to get a shot.  I told her I didn't know but it would be okay if she had to get one.  She passed her vision test and the doctor said she's growing well and very healthy, even though she's little.  She's 36.5" tall (29th percentile) and 27.6 lbs (16th percentile). Her blood pressure was 88/52. Unfortunately she had to get 2 shots (a TB test in her arm and a Hepatitis A vaccine in her leg).  I didn't expect her to cry because she didn't even flinch when she got her flu shot in the fall but I think she had been thinking about it a lot beforehand this time.  She cried for a long time :(
