11 Months

Alexis is 11 months old today!! We celebrated by going out for lunch to Olive Garden and she even got to order off the kids menu for the 1st time! She had cheese ravioli and a breadstick and loved it! She made friends with a lady at a table near ours and smiled and made faces at her while she ate. She is learning so much now and changing everyday! She is starting to want to walk more than she crawls although she is still wobbly and falls frequently. She has no fear and wants to climb and explore everywhere. She's eating her solids better and more consistent now. She loves to play peek-a-boo where she hides behind something and peeks out.... and thinks it's so funny. She gives kisses upon request and it's the sweetest thing! Open mouth, slobber and all but I love them! She says "hey," "mama," and "dada." She can sign for milk and wave bye bye. I think she's going to be a dancer-- she starts dancing and clapping everytime she hears music. She still dislikes diaper changes and getting dressed so that is usually a struggle everytime. She is one fast, strong little girl and can escape so quickly! Gone are the days where she would just lay there so nice and still :) She loves playing with her new toys she got for Christmas! Well, not around the house yet... but she took her first steps today!
And she does it so gracefully too!
Very steady and slow.
She took about 2-3 steps multiple times today!
I'm so proud of her!!

Daddy also taught her how to kiss and it is so sweet!!

Thanksgiving pics & more

Here's some pictures I tried to post a couple of days ago. I tried to get some of her smiling to make put on a Christmas card but she had other plans....

but loving her new teething biscuit.... and by the way, today i saw her 1st tooth for the 1st time!! it's just barely above the gum line but it's definitely there! so exciting!!

she even uses the furniture as a teether

she loves to crawl back in tiny spaces where she's not supposed to searching for cords to chew on

The next group of pictures are from last Saturday when we drove from Lola & Lolo's in Indiana to Metamora for Thanksgiving! It was about a 2 1/2 hour drive but Alexis great!

What? Snow already? It is December 1st, I guess but I just wasn't expecting it so soon! Hope the farmers almanac is accurate and winter will be short this year!
