The cold weather has got me thinking about the holidays a lot lately. I'm excited because this year I don't have to work any! Well, except for Christmas Eve, but only until noon! I love my new job... I wish I would have discovered it a loooong time ago! In the past, I haven't been very big on decorating the house much but this year I'm hoping to do a little more since we have a big house and yard to decorate. We have 4 pumpkins, a scarecrow and pumpkins that light up in the windows so far for Halloween. I showed Alexis pictures from last year when she went trick-or-treating to see if she remembered. I really think she did-- she wants to be a princess this year!
My parents came up last weekend for a quick visit. The kids had fun playing hide and seek with Papa and Andrew loved giving Grandma hugs!
Everybody pile up on Daddy!!
She's finally starting to smile for pictures! We went to the outdoor mall in Oakbrook and the kids loved running around and trying to climb in the water fountains!
Andrew wants to do everything he sees Alexis do. If she sits on the couch, he will climb up (all by himself) and sit next to her. He follows her everywhere and if she's jumping, he tries too. She loves to do somersaults all the time. So far Andrew just puts his head down and looks through his legs and thinks it's hilarious but I know it won't be long before he's doing flips through the living room too!
Alexis even knows how to use the mouse!
"working" in the basement
Chips and guacamole!
He loves wearing his big sisters cowboy boots! I guess we need to get him a pair too!
Poor little guy hadn't been feeling well earlier this week. He barely had a runny nose and just a low grade fever but just wasn't acting like his usual happy, funny self. He didn't want to play, was super cuddly and wanted to be held all the time. I knew something was wrong when he wouldn't eat except if I fed him. He hasn't let me feed him in months!
After he woke up from his afternoon nap a couple of days ago, I brought him downstairs and he fell asleep again... and that never happens. I held him while he slept for over an hour! I haven't done that in so long.... I didn't get anything done but it was so nice cuddling with my baby!
All that sleep must have helped because he woke up yesterday morning and was back to his silly self!
