I was watching the kids play today and realized what good friends they are. They definitely have their moments (several times a day), but I'd say 80% of the time they get along great and actually like being together. Andrew loves playing Barbies with Alexis and she likes playing dinosaurs with him. She mothers him a lot and he wants to do and say everything she does. It's really cute. I love watching them grow together. They both weigh 33 pounds and have the same shoe size. He's a couple of inches shorter but we frequently get asked if they are twins when we are out. At times I feel crazy for having them only 18 months apart but I'm hoping they stay really close growing up and always have each other.
Grandma and Papa stayed with us for a week while Albert went to California. This little guy thought it was funny to put little wooden mice in Grandma's toes!
Trying to hop in daddy's suitcase!
I've given up on getting them both to smile at the same time!
For almost 2 weeks, Andrew has been sleeping in Alexis's bed with her. He still takes his afternoon nap in his bed but with her at night. For about 5 months, he was doing so well falling asleep on his own in his bed and sleeping through the night. Then he started getting scared at bedtime telling me he was scared of monsters and the light that flashes on the smoke detector in his room. He would ask Alexis every night if he could sleep with her and she always said no. For some reason, 2 weeks ago she said yes and he's been sleeping there ever since. Let me tell you, as long as they are happy, so am I!! All 4 of us are getting good sleep and have slept through the night for 2 weeks! It is awesome!!
I know it's weird, but I like to take pictures of them sleeping.
It finally got up in the 50's (even though it still felt super cold) so we played outside for a little bit.
This summer is going to be interesting!
Another sleeping pic..... it's actually really dark when I go in and can't even see where I'm taking the picture. Good thing the flash doesn't wake them up!
